Effects of drought stress and rewatering on chlorophyll and nitrogen content in Alliumramosum

Abstract:Aiming toexploretheresponsecharacteritcsofAllium tuberosum(wildchives)todroughtenvironment,takingQinling wildchivsastheexperimentalmaterial,testudyinvestigatedthefectsofdroughtstressandhdratioonitselativechlooyl contentandnitrogecontent.Tersultsshowedthat,withtheextensionofsoildroughtstressti,boththeelativechlorohyllon tentandnitrogecontentofildchivesshowedadecreasing trend,whilethewaterstressindexshowedanincreasingtrendfter1 daysofdroughtreatment,comparedwiththecontrolgroup,thewildchivesexperiencedthemaximudecreaseinrelativechlorophyl content and nitrogen content,which decreased by 39.47% and 30.99% ,respectively.After rehydration treatment,the relative chlorophyllcontentandnitrogencontentofwildchives graduallrecovered.Withtheextensioofrehdrationtimeafterdroughtstress,the recoverofrelatiechohyllontentadnitrogencontntinwildchivsasdiferent.After14daysofrehdratio,theelativechlo rophyllcontentofQiningwildchivesreturedtothecontrollevel,andafterfivedaysofrehydration,thenitrogencontentofQinling wild chives returned to the controllevel.Rehydration stimulatedthe physiologicalcompensation efectofwild chives.
