Comprehensive evaluation and spatial-temporal pattern analysis of agricultural and rural modernization

Abstract：Acomprehensiveevaluationsystemforagriculturalandruralmodernizationasconstructedfromfivedimensions：Polis， economy，society，culture，and ecology.Animproved entropy weight-greycorelation-TOPSIS model wasutilized tocalculate the comprehensivescoresof30provinces（municipalities，autonomousregions）in Chinafrom2013to2O22，andtheirchangingtrends wereanalyzed.Meanhile，exploratoryspatialdataanalysis（ESDA）methodswereemploydtoinvestigatethespatio-temporalevolutioncharacteristicsandregionaldisparitiesinthedevelopmentlevelofagriculturalanduralmodernization.Theresultsshowedthat theoverallevelofmoderagriculturalandruraldevelopmentasonteise.Fromtheperspectiveoftheaveragedevelopmenlevelof each region，the pattern was mainly northeast region > eastern region > central region > western region.After1O years of development， thenumberofprovinces（municipalities，autonomousregions）withhigh，lower，andlowlevelsdecreasedbyoneeachuttheumberof provinces（municipalities，autonomousregions）withhigherlevelsincreasedsignificantly.Teditributionofhighandhigher levelreashiftedfromeing mainlyconcentratedintheeasternandnortheastregionstoeing mainlyconcentratedinthecntralregion.Modernagricultureandruralareas were mainlycharacterizedbylow-low clusteringandhigh-highclustering inspace.As ime passed，the areas of low-low clustering gradually decreased.
