Identification and mechanism analysis of salt tolerance in high-yield peanut variety Kainong 80

Abstract:Thesalttoleranceandunderlying molecular mechanisms of thehybrid peanut(Arachis hypogaea)cultivar Kainong 80 weresystematicallinvestigated.Teresultsrevealedthatinregionalyeldtrials,thepodyieldofKainong8Oassignifcantlyhigher thanthatofthecontrolvarietyYuhua9327.Under90mmol/LNaClstressduringgermination,theexpressonofAhNCED1inKainong 80seeds wasmarkedlydownregulated,whiletheexpresionofAhCYP0A1andACY7o7A2wassignificantlyup-regulated,resultinginareductioninabscisicacidcontent.Aditionaly,theexpressionofAhGA2ox wassharplydow-regulated,whereastheexpressionofAhG3oxassignficantlyuregulated,adingtoancreaseinberelinontentonsequentlytegeratioig or,germinationrate,and germinationindexof Kainong 8Oundersaltstress weresignificantlyhigherthanthoseof hecontrolvariety Yuhua9327.Under2OOmmol/LNaClstressattheseedlingstage,comparedwiththecontrolvarietyYuhua9327,theactivityofreactiveoxygenspeciesscavengigenzymesinKainong 80wassignificantlyincreased,andthecontentsofhydrogenperoxideandsuperoxideanionweresignificantlydereased.erefore,thenumberofrotsofKainong8Oseedlingswassignificantlyincreased,thecon tentsof prolieandchlorophllweresignificantlyincreased,whilethecontentofalondialdehdewassignificantlydecreased,and the survival rate was significantly increased.
