Response and dynamics of soil phosphorus to straw incorporation under simulated paddy-upland rotation conditions

Abstract:Toinvestigatetheefectsof traw incorporationonsoil phosphorus dynamicsunderpddy-uplandrotationsystems,soil samplesfromlong-termrice-rapesedrotationexperimentalfieldswerecollctedforidoorsimulationexperimentsFourreatments were established:uplandcropping(D),paddycropping(W),uplandcropping+straw incorporation(D+S),and paddycroppng+ strawincorporation(W+S).Soilphosphorusfractions wereextractedandquantifiedusing the Hedleyphosphorus fractionationmethod,andthesoilavailablephosphorusvariations wereobservedTheresultsshowed thatunderuplandconditions,strawincorporation increased soil available phosphorus by 20.6% ,while under paddy conditions,it enhanced available phosphorus by 56.4%.Overall, available phosphorus contentimprovement was more pronouncedunderpaddycroppingthanunderupland cropping.Comprehensive analysisindicatedthatthe W+Streatment mostefectivelyenhancedsoilavailablephosphorus.Redundancyanalysis(RDA)revealed that water regime and straw incorporation contributed 73.2% and 26.8% ,respectively,to soil phosphorus variations.Straw incorporation notnlyelevatedavailablephosphorusbutalsoregulatedphosphorusspeciation,therebyenhancingsoilphosphorussupplycapacity.
