Abstract:Foodsecurityisthecoreofthenationalstrategy.Riceisthestaplefoodof morethanhalfoftheworld's populatio,andinnovationinitsbredingtechnolgyisofgreatsignificance.Traditionalricebreedinghasalongcycle,low eficiency,andighlyreliesonbreedersexperience.Inrecentyearsartificialinteligence(A)echnologymainlyachine learninganddeeplearning,isdeeplypenetratingintoallaspectsofricebreeding,givingbirthtoanewmodelof"intelligent breeding".ThispaperreviewsthelatestresearchprogressofAItechnologyinricegenomicsandgeneticimprovement,highthroughputphenotyping,breeding decision-makinganddesignfrom2023to2025,andprovidesanin-depthanalysisofthe performanceindicatorsofkeyAItechnologiessuchasconvolutionalneuralnetworks(CNN)andgenomeselection(GS)inrice varietyidentifcationtraitpredictionresistancesreeningndotheraplications,andconstructsanA-drivenbreedingdataflow conceptualmodelfromgenotypingtofieldverfication.Atthesametimeitanalyzdthebotlenecksofthecurentlargescale applicationofAItechnologyinricebreeding,suchashighinitialcosts,lackofinterdisciplinarytalents,datastandardizationd sharingproblems,etc.,andputforwardcorespondingcountemeasuresandsuggestions.Finally,thefuturedevelopmenttrends suchasthedepintegrationofAIandgeneediting technologytheaplicationofexplicableAI(XAI),andtheconstructionofa fullyautomatedinteligentbreedingplatformareprospected,inordertoprovidescientificreferencefortheinteligent transformation of rice breeding in China.
