Impacts of Different Vegetation Restoration Patterns on the EcoHydrological Characteristics on the Loess Plateau

Abstract:Inrecentyears,large-scaleecologicalrestorationontheLoess Plateau has changed theregional ecological hydrologicalcharacteristics,butthereisrelativelylitleresearchontheimpactofdiferentvegetationrestorationmodels onecologicalhydrologicalcharacteristics.Therefore,takingthreediferentvegetationrestorationsmallwatersheds (closed, artificialforest,andsemiagriculturalandsemi pastoralwatershed)intheCaijiachuan watershedofJicounty,Linfen city,Shanxiprovinceastheresearchobject,thisstudy explorestheimpactofdiferentvegetationrestorationmodelson landcover,soil physical properties,and waterandsedimentcharacteristics.Theresultsshowed thatthelandtypes in the restrictedwatershedwere mainlyforestlandandhighcoveragegrassand,whilethoseinthearificialforestwatershedwere mainly forestlandandlowcoveragegrassland,andthoseinthesemiagriculturalandsemi pastoral watershed weremainly lowcoveragegraslanddclivaedand;thesoilpaciyofcodaryorstlandtiicalforstlandndd significantlylowerthanthatofgriculturalland,whilethesoilporosityshows theoppositepatern;theclosureofecondary forestsandartificialforests inwatershedshasagoodeffectonreducing waterandsediment,aswellasregulatingdryruoff.
