Abstract： The design scale of a sewage treatment plant in Nansha New Area is 3.0×104m3/d .The effluent water standard implementsthestrictervaluesofthenationalstandardGB3838-2002"SurfaceWaterEnvironmentalQualityStandards”ClassV waterstandardandthenational standardGB18918-20O2"Discharge StandardofPolutantsfor Municipal WastewaterTreatment Plants" Class A standard（except for TN⩽15mg/L ），and the factory moisture content of sludge is reduced to 40% .The main processofthesewageplantadoptstheimprovedCASSprocesstheadvancedtreatmentadoptsthehig-eficiencysedimentation tank + denitrificationdeep-bedfilterprocess，thedisinfectionmethodadoptscontactdisinfection，thedisinfectantusessodium hypochlorite，andthesludge dryingadoptssludgeconcentration pluslow-temperaturevacuum dehydration drying process.The operationoneyearaftercompletionshowsthattheprojetisoperatingwellandtheefluent waterqualtyisstableandupto standard.ThemainindicatorsarebetterthanthenationalstandardGB3838-20O2ClassIVwaterstandard.Atthesametime， the sludge reduction is achieved.
