Abstract:Touselong-term monitoringdata toasess the healthof bridge structuresanddeducethe degreeofstructural degradation,aninitialdesignmodelofthebridgewasconstructedbasedonengineeringdrawings.Thismodelwasthenrefined usingmodalfrequencyasanobjectivefunctiontoestablishanoperationalmodelthatreflectsactualbridgeconditions.Basedon thisrefinedmodelandcombiningmonitoringdatawithon-siteinspection,thecausesofstructuralstifnessdegradationwere identifiedandquantifiedthroughmodelupdatingtheory.Abridgeperformancepredictionmethodbasedonmodelupdatingwas proposed.Thestudyresultsindicatethattheupdatedoperationalmodelmoreacuratelyrepresentsthebridge'sactual performance,withpredictedperformancetrendsaligningcloselywithmeasureddata.Throughon-siteinspections,itwasfurther confimedthatthemaincauseofstructuraldegradationisthereductionintheefectivecrosssectionoftheboxgirder.The proposedmethodsignificantlyimproves theacuracyofurban bridgeperformanceanalysis,providingesentialtechnicalsupport for real-time monitoring and maintenance decision-making.
