Abstract: Inthelate19thandearly2Othcenturies,numerous BrtishandAmericansinologistsfocusedonLiBai asafocal point foruderstandingChina.However,theBritishandAmericanimageofLiBaiduringthisperiodoftendivergedsignificantlyfromthe perceptionofLiBai inChina.Thisarticleexaminesseveralprominentsiologistsandpoets,including HerbertAlenGilesWilliam JohnBainbridgeFletcher,andEzraPound,toexaminetheircreationsbasedonLiBaiandunderstandingsofLiBaipoetryThis analysisexaminestheconstructionofLiBaisimage,theunderstandingofChineseculturebyBritishandAmericansinologistsand poets,andtheideologicaltrendsoflterarymovements.ItfindsthattheperceptionofLiBaiduringthisperiodgenerallfocusedon hislegendarycharacter.ThroughadetailedexpositionofLiBaisomanticstyle,theyconstructhischaracteristic"unitywithature". Boththere-creationof ranslatedpoetryandtheoriginalcreationofpoetrybasedonLiBaiwereessentiallythecreationof "iBai romantic poetry".Sinologists and poetssimply expressed LiBai's image in different ways,focusingon diffrent emphases.

李白作为西方认识中国的重要媒介，其典型性不言而喻，19世纪至20世纪初是李白形象传播的繁荣期，或者说是爆发期，大量的英美汉学家及文学家都将李白作为认识中国的窗口，同时这一时期英美的李白形象往往与中国本土的认知有很大偏差，因此本文选取了几位汉学家及文学家，研究19世纪末20世纪初英美汉学家对李白的形象构建。（剩余6866字）
