Abstract：The historyofoxygen’sdiscoveryandnomenclaturestandsasalandmarkeventinthehistoryofscience.Theevolutionary journeyofoxygen’sCinesenomenclatureprofoundlydemonstratestheexceptionalwisdomofChinesechemistsinasimltingWestern scientificconcepts.ByskilfullyleveragingtheuniqueadvantagesofChineseideogaphicsystem，teycreativelytransformedtheconceptof“oxygen”tonaturallintegrateitintotraditioalChineselinguisticcontextwhilepreciselyconveyingmoderchemicalcoo ttions.Thisultimatelyachevedharmoniousunificationoftraditionalcognitiveparadigmswithmodernscientificdiscourse.Throughdiachronicanalysisoftheatioontroesyndsaddzatiofygen'seseomeclature，tisaperistoeiletricateinterplaflangage，ultur，nddisipliarysinentificlangagecostruction，sellsthirecaldbe tween the“dissemination of Western learning”and the“adaptation of Chinese traditions”.
