Abstract：IntheearlydaysofthePeoplesRepublicofChinaterminologywork wasprimarilyledbythe WorkingCommiteforthe Unificationof Academic Terms（WCUAT，学术名词统一工作委员会）and latertheCompilationandPublication Committeof the Chinese Academyof Sciences（CPCCAS，中国科学院编译出版委员会）.Theestablishment and evolution of terminology-related institutionsduringsodeilnological，lialtcalnditiecosofoet， theCPCCAS inheritedandmoderatelyadjusted theworkiitiatedbytheWCUAT.Teminologyplaningduringthiseraremainedrelativelyambiguousiistitutioalaligntithrfullintegaedintolngageplainoienceandtolglangdis formulationand implementationexhibitedadegreeof independence.Thecharacteristicscanbesummarizedintothreekeypoints： First，alackofherarcicalorsstematicframeworkforerminologyevelopment;Second，disciplinaryboundarieslimitingtesope andqualityofterminologywork;Tird，teChineseAcademyofSciencesemergingasthbackboneforceintermiologystandardization.
