Abstract：Asasingle-characterverbinTCMteminology，“Xia”（下）constitutesoneof thefundamentaltherapeticapproachs.In the Condensed Compendiumof Materia Medica，this TCMverbappears with notablefrequencyandhas diverse translation approaches. ThispapefocusesontheEnglishtranslationofthetermthroughoutthebookanalyzingitstranslationstrategiesforsemanticvariations.Theresearchistoprovidesomeefereneforthtranslatioofmedicalclasicsintefuture，particularlyintedomaif taditional Chinese pharmaceutical literature.
