Abstract:Withtherapiddevelopmentofmodernpowersystems,thegrowing demandforelectricityandthewidespreaduse ofrenewableenergy,themanagementandcompensationofreactivepowerhavebecomeincreasinglyimportant.Reactive power compensationcannotonlyimprovetheoperating eficiencyofthepowersystem,butalsoimprovepowerquality,reduceenergy los,andenhancethestabilityandreliabilityofthepowersuplysystem.Thispaperfirstanalyzestheconeptofreactivepower anditsroleinthepowersystem,andthenproposesanefectivemethodtoreducethelow-voltagereactivecompensation capacityinalow-voltagesingle-bussegmenteddistributionsystem.Onthepremiseofimprovingtheoperatingeficiencyof the power system,the investment cost is reducedand the security and stability of the system are not affected.
