Abstract：Basedonthe dataof 2O2boreholesin Xiamenarea，thispaper focusesondiscusing thevariationlawsof soil shearwavevelocitiesV2OandV3Ounderdiferentgeologicalconditionsandtheirrelationshipwithgroundmotioncharacteristics， andalsoevaluatestheshear wavevelocityontheseismicperformanceof buildings.Theresearch resultsshow thatV2Oand V30 canbeefectivelyusedinearthquakeengineringpractice，butrelevantparametermodelsstillneedtobefurtheroptimizedto improvetheiraplicationaccuracy.Thispaperprovidesimportantscientificbasisforsiteevaluationandarchitecturaldesignin earthquake engineering.
