[Abstract]This study focuses on the empowering roleof artificial intellgence （AI） in the professonaldevelopmentof rural physical education （PE）teachers，exploringitsvalue，practicalchallnges，and practical paths.Thestudyshows that AI has significantvalueinpromoting equityinurban-ruralPE，facilitating theprofesionalgrowthofruralPEteachers， andinheritinglocalsportsulture.However，iturrentlyfceschallngessuchasweakdigitalinfrastructure，nsuent digitalliteracyoftachers，pooresourceadaptabilitymperfectistitutionalmechanisms，fragmentedatagoveance，ad diffrences inurban-rural resource allcation.Toaddress these，it is necesary tobuildanempowerment paths fromthe three levelsoftheountryshool，andteacherlevels，andprovidesupportfortheprofesioal developmentofalpyical education teachers through supporting mechanisms such as organization， funding，and systems.
