Comparison of therapeutic efficacy between robotic and thoracoscopic mediastinal tumor resection via two different approaches

AbstractObjective：Tocompare theefcacyofrobot-asstedversus thoracoscopicmediastinal tumorresection.Methods：175 patients （afterexcluding 25earlycasesfromeachsurgicalapproachintherobotic group）whounderwentminimallinvasiveanterior mediastinaltumorresectionatthFirstAfiliatedHospital，ZhejiangUniversityScholofMediinefromOctober219toJuy224 were selected.Participants were divided into the robotic group （n=42） and the thoracoscopic group （ n =133）according to different surgicalmetods.Opeativetie，ntrapeativebodlos，otopeativedanagevue，rainageuration，lengthofospiatay complicationsndsgicalostseomparedetweentetogroupsofntsubsequentlyoboticoupeefurterdedto thesubxiphodgroup（n=17）andthelateralthoracicgroup（n=25）ysurgicalapproach，andtheaboeindicatorsof tetwosugroups werealsocomparedResults：Rboticndthracocopicgoupsshowedomparableitraoperativeblodlos，drainagevedraage duration， length of hospital stay，and complication rates （ P. >0.05）. However， the robotic group had longer operative time and higher costs 1 （P<0.05） .No significant differences were found betweensubxiphoid andlateral thoracic approaches regarding theabove indicators（ P >0.05）. Conclusion：Roboticanteriormediastialtumoresectionhasomparablesfetyandeficacytothracoscopicsurgerylbeitwith prolongedoperativedurationandelevatedcosts.Subxiphoidrobot-asisted thoracoscopic surgery hasequivalentperioperativeoutcomes with the lateral thoracic approaches.
