Effects of robot-assisted crawling training combined with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on rehabilitation outcomes in children with global developmental delay

AbstractObjective:Toinvestigatetheefectsofrobot-assistedcrawling trainingcombiedwithrepetivetranscranialmagnetic stimulation(rTS)onrehabilitationoutcosinchldrenwithglobaldevelopmentaldelay(GDD).Methods:Clinicaldataof8ldren with GDDwhoere treatedatBaoji CentralHosptalfomSeptemberO toeptember024wereretrospectivelycollctedTeywere dividedintothecontrolgroup(TMS treatment,n=41)andthecombinedgoup(robot-asistedcrawlingtrainingcombinedwithTMS, n=40 )acording totheirrehabilitationmethods.The PeabodyDevelopmental MotorScales-2(PDMS-2)scores,GrossMotorFunction Measure-88(GMFM-88)scores,ActivitisofDailyLiving(ADL)Scalescores,anddversereactionrateswerecomparedbetweeteo groupsfpatits.Rsuts:CompaedwithatbforeinteentiomprovementsinosotorQuotint(GQ),FinetQoit (FMQ),TotaltorQotit),nd8sosweeedinallpaits,ithintlyersind group (P<0.05) .ADLscoresat2and3monthsafter interventionincreasedinboth groups,andtheywere markedlyhigher inthecombined group (P<0.05) .No significant diference was observed in total adverse reaction rates between the two groups ( P>0.05) . Conclusion: For childrenwithGDD,thecombinationofobot-asistedcawlingtrainingandrMScansignificantlynhancedevelopmentalstatusgoss motor function,and daily living abilities compared to rTMS alone, while maintaining a favorable safety.
