Abstract：[Purpose/Significance]PublicLibraryManagementbyTsengShu-HsienfromTaiwan，ChinaandPracticeofPublicLibrary Management by Qiu Guanhua from Chinese mainlandarerepresentative works on public librarymanagement inrecent years. Thispaperaimstoexplorethefocusesof publiclibrarymanagementonbothsidesof theTaiwanStraitbyacomparativestudyon these twobooks.Metod/ProcessBycomparingandanalzingtheircontentandructure，featuresandinnovations，applicablitand targereadershiptc.tesimlaritisanddiferencsinpublilrarymanagementconcptsetweCrossStraitwilleidtfid. [Results/Conclusios]Thecomparsonoftesetwoboksrevealscomonconcemsamong profesionals：specific libraryoperatisare nolongerhecorefocusofpubliclibrarymanagement;strategic managementisincreasinglyimportant;humanresourcemanageentis akeyaspect;andpubliclibarymanagementrequirestheparticipatioofsocialforces.Themaindiferences liein：vartinsire sponsibilitymanagementandqualitymanagementconcepts;diferentperceptionsof integratingbusinessmanagementthinking;and differing awareness of innovation.
