Abstract: Takingthe E32l5 working face of Qianyingzi Coal Mine asthe research object,and based on the analysis of hydrogeologicalandengineringgeologicalcharacteristicsofthestudyarea,theheightofoverburdenfailureinducedbycoal miningin the No.32 coal seam was predicted through theoretical analysis,engineering analogy,and numerical simulation methods. Aditionally,thecriticalhydraulicgradientandresistancetoseepagefilureoftheoverlyingQuateraryaquifergroupwere evaluated.Theresultsindicatethatraisingtheminingelevationby2OmetersintheE315workingfacedesignisfeasible,with no risk of water inrush and sand gushing.The mining operation is confirmed to be safe and reliable.
