Abstract:Thispaper explores howtoachieveabalance between precisionandefciency inthecontext of using the ORB algorithm for binocular vision targetpositioning.TheORBalgorithm,bymeansofo-FASTcornerdetection and r -BRIEF descriptors,notonlyenhancesrotationinvariancebutalsoimprovescomputationaleficiency.Inthefieldofbinocularvisionapplications,cameracalibrationimagepreprocessng,andthee-dimensionalreconsructionofspatialpointsareextremelyiportant aspects.Amongthemcameracalibrationrequirescordinatesystemtransfomation,imagepreprocessingincludesdistortiocr tionoperations,andthree-dimensionalreconstructionofspatialpointsinvolvesepipolarcorrection.Theimplementationofthese stepsaims toimproveimagequalityandprocessngeficiency.ExperimentsshowthattheORBalgorithmcanefectivelybalance precisionandeficiencyindiferentscenariosandhasbroadapplicationpotential.Inthefuture,furtheroptimizationcanbecarried out to meet the requirements of more complex scenarios.
