Abstract:According totheregulationsoftheMinistryofEmergencyManagement，emergencyshut-offvalvesshouldbe instaledinallinletandoutletpipesconnectedtolargestoragetanksinserviceinoilandgasstoragecompanies.Inorderto controlthesafetyhazardsofcrudeoilstoragetankvalvesatalandterminalof CNOOC,pneumaticactuators wereinstalledon9 manualvalvestotransformthemintoemergencyshutoffvalves.Byanalyzingthecharacteristicsoftheactuator,adual-acting pneumaticactuatorwasselectedforinstalation.Thedual-actingactuatorissuitableforlarge-diametervalveoperation,isfast andsuitableforsevereworkingcondions.Themanualvalvewastransformedintoanemergencyshutoffvalveonlinewithout stopping production.Aftertesting,theinletandoutletvalvesofthecrudeoilstoragetankcouldbecompletelyclosedwithin50 seconds.ThetransformedvalvecompliedwiththeregulationsoftheEmergencyManagementDepartmentandachievedtheeffect of controlling hidden dangers.
