Abstract:Inresponse tothedemandforcoolantflow measurementinnuclearpowerplantreactorsunderiradiation,high temperature,andhighpresureenvironments,thispaperdesignsanddevelopsaharshenvironmentresistantthermalflowsensor basedonheat exchange principlesandMEMStechnology.Thesensorconsistsofthreeparts:probe,lead,andtransmiter.The probestructureismainlycomposedofceramicsensitiveelements,reinforcedbrackets,andshellsealedsinteredparts.The ceramicsensitiveelementsareprocessedandfabricatedonaceramicsubstrateusingMEMStechnologytoformplatinumthin filmsensitiveelectrodes,andtheprobestructureisencapsulatedusingglasssinteringtechnologytowithstandhightemperature andhighvoltage.Finall,themechanicalfasteningmethodwasusedtoassmbleteprototyeoftheharshenvironmentresistant thermalflowsensor,andtheprototypewastested.Thetestresultsshowedthatthisharshenvironment-resistantthermalflow sensorcanmeettherequirementsofcoolantflowmeasurementinirdiation,high-temperature,andhigh-pressureenviromnts.
