Abstract：BeijingCitysfloodcontrolsystemplayedahugeroleinresistingthe"23.7"Flood，minimizingfloodlosses.The cityimplementedpre-dischargeandcapacitydispatchofwaterregulationandstorageprojects，riverandlakewatersystemsand rainwaterandsewagepipenetworks36hoursinadvance，freingupatotalof18milloncubic metersoffloodstoragespace; duringthefloodperiod，25upstreamreservoisoperatedbeyondthefloodlimitlevel，andatotalof42Omilionubicetersof floodnterceptionhaveefetivelyplayedtheroleofpeakcutingandfdinterceptionHowever，fromaretrospetiveerspctive therearestllsomedeficienciesintheconstructionanddispatchmanagementofthefloodcontrolsysteminBeijingCity，andthe planing，constructionanddailymanagementoffloodcontrolprojectsstilndtobefurtherstrengthenedinthefuture.
