Screening of fungicides for the control of konjac root rot and leaf spot diseases

Abstract:This study aimed to screen highlyefectivefungicides thatcan simultaneouslycontrol konjacroot rot and leaf spotdiseases,soas toprovideascientificbasis forthepreventionandcontrolofkonjacfielddiseases.Through indoorantibacterial tests,the inhibition rates and toxicities EC50 of six agents, namely 95% difenoconazole, 98% kasugamycin, (204号 98% carbendazim, 97% kresoxim - methyl, 97% iprodione, and 97% hymexazol, against the pathogen of konjac root rot (Fusarium solani)and the pathogenof leaf spot disease(Alternaria tenuissima)were determined.Theresults showed that theinhibitoryeffectsofiprodioneanddifenoconazoleonthetwopathogens werebeterthanthoseofotheragents.Forthe root rot pathogen, the EC50 of iprodione was 24.27μg⋅mL-1 ,and the inhibition rate reached 56.78% at a concentration of 32μg⋅mL-1 ;the EC50 of difenoconazole was 55.92μg⋅mL-1 ,andtheinhibitionratewasalso 74.86% at 320μg⋅mL-1 .For the leaf spot pathogen, the EC50 of difenoconazole was as low as 0.08μg⋅mL-1 ,and the inhibition ratewas 71.67% ata concentration of 81μg⋅mL-1 ; the EC50 of iprodione was 1.81μg⋅mL-1 ,and the inhibition rate reached 69.83% at 8μg⋅mL-1 : Inconclusion,iprodioneand difenoconazole have strong inhibitoryactivities againstthepathogens of konjacrootrotand leaf spotdiseases and can be considered as candidates for field-appied fungicides for concurrent prevention.However, further verification of their registration compliance and actual field control effects is required.
