Abstract： University libraries are thecenterofcampus literature resourcesandakeylocation for promoting the developmentof campuscultureandsocialculture.Theyshouldfullplaytheirimportantrolesintalentcultivation，scientificresearchanddevelopment，socialservics，andcuralineritanceandiovationisticleiasedonthinterpreationoftedculuralgsd theirvalusignificanceinGansuProvince.Ianalyzesthefeasiblityof inheritingtheredcultural genes inuniversitylibrariesfrom theperspectivesoforalducatioalentrsee，anddulturalrsouerese.Italsoroposspracticalpathforuesitylbrariestodeveloplocalredresourcesandinherittheredculturalgenes：enrichingcolections，andmakingresourcecustomization precise;caryingoutcharacteristicactivitiestohanceculturalconfidence;strengtheningcoperationandinteraction，stiulating leaming enthusiasm；spreadingandpromoting，creatingastrongatmosphereofredculture;creatingaredcultural spacetoenhance userexperinc;evelopingatieprjects，pacipatingiouspromotionetc.Itistopromotetevitalationdil tion of red cultural resources in university libraries.
