Abstract：The article studies the example of coupling slip fault of Flender gearboxes of CRH38OB EMUs in recent years，analyzes the factors that may cause the slip fault and gives related suggestions for preventing reoccurrence of similar faults， providing a reference for subsequent pressfiting，operation and maintenance of couplings.
