Abstract：Most of the existing railway concentrated sulfuric acid tank cars use mechanical and manually operated loading devices，which have problems such as long operation times and low safety. With the continuous development of railway freight car technology and the mature application of pneumatic technology in railway freight cars，it is necessry and feasible to develop a pneumatic controlled loading device. This paper discusses the curent situation of domestic and foreign loading devices for concentrated sulfuric acid tank cars， and analyzes the problems existing in typical loading devices. Due to these issues，a pneumatic loading device has been developed in conjunction with an export concentrated sulfuric acid tank car project. This paper mainly introduces the main technical parameters，main structure and working principle，key technologies and test of the pneumatic loading device. This pneumatic loading device can improve the operation safety and convenience of tank car loading，at the same time，itcan reduce the total loading time，improve loading eficiency and transportation economy， which is of great significance to promoting the development of railway tank cars.
