Abstract：With the increase in the loading and operating speed of railway freight cars，the vibration load conditions of vehicles have changed greatly. While reducing the weight of vehicles，increasing the load and the operating speed，how to balance the contradiction between the lightweight of the vehicleand the vibration failure of the vehicle structure is a difficult problem that needs to be solved in the process of product development. This paper introduces the composition and working principle of the fatigue and vibration test bed for railwayfreight cars，puts forward a whole vehicle vibration test method，and applies this test method to the development of a certain flatcar，and obtains the running stability index and the natural vibration characteristic parameters of the whole vehicle，which provides effective data support for evaluating the vibration performance of the vehicle.
