Abstract：The function，the classification，the structural composition and the working environment of check valves are described.The working principle of check valves is expounded on the basis of stress analysis and the output characteristic curve of check valves is summarized. The keys of check valve design are concluded according to the working experience. The causes for abnormal noise and vibration of check valves in diferent circumstances are analysed in combination with the experience of handling the faultsof check valves and relevant solutions are proposed.
