[Abstract]Objective：To investigate the effect of fullcrown restoration combined with root canal therapy on periodontal index and complications in patients with pulpitis.Method： A total of1OO patients with pulpitis admitted to Jiujiang NO.1 People's Hospital from June 2O22 to June 2O24 were retrospectively selected as theresearch subjects，they were divided into two groupsaccording to different treatment methods.The control group consisted of 5O patients who underwent resin filling after root canal treatment; the study group consisted of 5O patients who underwent full crown restoration after rot canal treatment.Theclinical efficacy after6 months of treatment， periodontal index beforeand after 6 months of treatment，and incidence of complications between two groups of patients were compared and analyzed.Result： After 6 months of treatment， compared with the control group，the total effective rate of the study group was higher （ P <0.05）; after 6 months of treatment， gingival index （GI）， plaque index （PLI），probing depth （PD）and sulcus bleeding index （SBI）of both groups decreased，withthe study group being lower than the control group （P<0.05） ; theincidence of complicationsin the study groupwaslower thanthat in the control group （ P <0.05）.Conclusion： The clinical efficacy of full crown restoration combined with root canal therapy is good for patients with pulpitis，which can improve periodontal conditionand has high safety.
