[Abstract]Objective：To explore the application effect of early postural management intervention in the prevention of postural torticolisand plagiocephaly in infants.Method：From November 2O21 to December 2023， 170 healthy infants aged ⩽1 month who received regular physical examination in Department of Children's Health of Jiangxi Maternal and Child Health Hospital were divided into two groups byrandom number table method， 85 cases in each group. The control group was given routine health guidance，and the observation group was given early postural management intervention on the basis of routine health guidance.The muscle function，severity of torticolis，development level and grading of plagiocephaly were compared between two groups.Result： The left and right neck muscle function scale （MFS） scores of the observation group at6 months of age were higher than those of the control group，but the difference were not statistically significant （ P >0.05）; the torticollis tilt angle of the observation groupat6months of age was smallr than thatof the control group，and the development quotient （DQ） and mental index （MI） at 12 months of age were higher than those of the control group （ P <0.05）; the grading of plagiocephaly in the observation group was lighter than that in the control group（ P <0.05）.Conclusion：Early postural management intervention for infants helps improve neck muscle function，effectively prevents positional torticollis and plagiocephaly，and promotes healthy growth of infant development.
