Abstract:InthemovieTillLoveDoUsPart,directedbyLiRan,afemaledirector’snarativeshowcasesfemaleselfawakening.It reflectsmodernChinesewomen'sdilemabetweentraditional genderrolesandpersonalfredom.Inthemovie,thedirectoraangesthe femaleprotagonst,ShuQiaoogbroad,heresheromanticallcoutersQiuFan,athaterartistlivingabrodTsetraaital encounterisdepictedasacatalystforherindividualawakeningQiuFanwithoutasteadylifestyle,adecentjob,orpowerandsocial capital,starklycontrastswiththestable,standardizedlifemodelofSuQiao’shusbandHuZhun,whoembodiespatriarchal capitalism.YetforShuQiaoQiuFanbecomesapassgetoanotherlife,whicheableshertoseeretlybreakthroughhercontradictions. TheireventualseparationredefinesintimacyItstepsoutoftetraditioalgndrelationshipativeframework.Whenfaitfultoa healthyand energeticrelationship,individualsfeel loyal tothemselves.
