Abstract:Ma’anshaninAnhuiProvince wasonceknownasthe“StelCity”,butwithintensifiedurbancompetitionandeconomic restructuring,itssingle-industryimagecannolongermetthedemandsofmodeurbandevelopmentScenetheoryemphasizesatcity imagecommunicationshouldbedonethroughmulti-layeredandmulti-dimensionalsceneconstructiontopresenttheuniquenessand culturalconnotationsofacityIntheprocessofculturalreshaping,Ma’anshanemploysscenetheorytoenhanceitscityimage communication.Byconstructingpoeticculturalscenesinlandscapemedia,presentingtheminmassmedia,andoferingexperiential activitiesnculuralevents,Ma’anshaectivelyomuniatesitsimageasth“PoetryCity.isapproachbooststhei’sultural soft power,createsauniqueculturalidentity,andfostersapositiveinteractionbetwnculturendtheeconomytherebyincreasingte city’s appeal and recognition.
