A Study of the Relationship Between Emotion Regulation and Frustration Tolerance of College and University Students

Abstract:Theresearchadoptedaquestionnairemethod toexplorethecurentstatusofandtherelationshipbetweenemotion regulationandtheabilityoffrustrationtoeranceofcollgeanduniversitystudents.Theresultsareasfollows:(1)IneEotioal RegulatioScale,collegeanduniversitystudents’expresionihibitionscoredslightlybelowthetheoreticalmedian,whileappaisal scoredaboveit;intFustratioTleranceScaleterpesoalinteracosteolyctorslghtlyelothtoreticaledanhile allotherfctorsscoredboveit.Signfcantgndebaseddifrencsrefoundinsudentsotioegulationfctosanditeir interpersonal interaction and support-seeking abilities related to frustration tolerance ( p<0.05 ).(3)Significant differences in supportseeking abilities for frustration tolerance were foundamong collge and university students of different grades ( p<0.05 ).(4)In addition to expreioninbitionandself-elievingabilityterewasasignificantcoelationbetwenemotionregulationandfrustrationtolerace( p< 0.05).(5)Theemotionregulationofcollgeanduniversitystudentshadapredictivefectonfrustrationtolerance.Basedonthesults, thefrustrationtaneoflgeanduivesitysudentsanbeacedbngiogitiveeapaisaldevelopigsalls, and building a good family system.
