Abstract: The logistics industry runs through all fields of social and economic activities. It has always been a big energy consumer and a big carbon emitter. Analyzing the carbon emission and influencing factors of the logistics industryin
Hubei Province can provide a scientific basis for the formulation of emission reduction measures. Based on the availability ofdata,the carbon emissionsof the logistics industry in Hubei Province during 2O11 to 202O were estimated according to the methods provided by IPCC. On this basis,the Tapio decouplingmodel was used to analyze the decoupling status of carbon emissions from the logistics industry in Hubei Province, and the LMDI model was used to decompose the influencing factors of carbon emissions from the logistics industry. Data show that the carbon emissions decoupling index of Hubei logistics industry has been basically in a decoupling state since 2012,indicating that the growth rate of carbon emissions of Hubei logistics industry is slower and slower than its economic development. The decomposed energy structure effect, economic output effect and population size effect all play arole in boosting carbon emissions of Hubei logistics industry. The effectof economic output isthe most important,while theeffect of energy intensity plays a inhibitory role.
