【Abstract】With therapid development of automotive electrificationandintelligence,thecomplexityof vehicle electrical systems hasincreasedsignificantly.Astheneural network connectingvariouselectricalcomponents,the reliabilityof wiring harnessesdirectlyaffectsvehiclesafetyandfunctionalityHowever,wateringresscausedbyimproper designorassemblyofconnectorshasbecomeacritical factor leading tovehicle failures.Thispaper takes the water ingress faultofamotorconector inaspecificvehiclemodelasacasestudy.Throughfaulttreeanalysis,airtightness verification,high-pressure water spraytesting,andresearch onthesiphonefect,the mechanism of water ingress is systematicallyanalyzed.Thestudyreveals thatconnector typemismatchand improper instalationof waterprof gaskets are key factors triggering thesiphon effect.Basedon these findings,optimization measures such asanti-siphon design, production qualitycontrol,andstandardizedassemblyprocesssareproposed,providing theoreticalandpractical referencesforimprovingthewaterproofperformance ofwiringharnesses.
