Abstract：BasedonNida’sequivalence theory，thispaperdividedculture-ladedwordsintofivegroups.Throughcaseanalysisofthree EnglishversionsofTeBookofChanges，itexploreswethertranslatorsproritizeforalorfunctionalquvalene.Oursultssow thatLeggeandWel’stranslationsemphasizefoalequivaleneelyingonliteraltranslationandtransliterationtopreseesouce languagedetails，hileWangandRen'sversionfocusesonfunctionalequivalenceusingfreetranslationndomisiontoconveyultur alconotationssimply.Thestudyintendstoispirenewapproachestotranslatingculture-loadedwordsinhineseclasics，osting Chinese culture's global reach.
