Abstract:Toaddressthecomplex stratigraphicconditionsandunknownstrength characteristicsofdeep-seasediments inthe areaoftheSamarIsland-DavaoCrossingBridgeinthePhilippines,thestaticpropertiesofdeep-seasedimentswereinvestigated through in-situ soil direct shear tests to obtain the cohesive force c and internal friction angle Ψ of soils in different strata,and theresults showed that: the internal friction angle of the pulverized clay soil was 18∘ ,with a cohesive force of 138.1 kPa,the cohesionofthesandysoilwasnotobvious,andtheinternalfrictionanglewasconcentratedat29.9°\~31.7°,andtheinternal friction angle of gravelly sand specimensreached 44.7∘ . concentrated in 29.9o\~31.7°,and the internal friction angle of gravelintercalated sand specimen reached 44.7∘ .For soils with high cohesion such as clay,cohesion occupies an important position in shearstrengthForsoilswithlargerpartclesandlowercohesion,suchassandysoils,theangleofinteralfrictionisthemain factorindeterminingtheshearstrength.Theresultsofthestudycanprovideaparametricbasisforthesubsequentsimulationof the dynamic response of bridge pile foundation.
