Abstract:The antifungalfilmwaspreparedbyacasting-drying methodusing methyltrans-p-coumarate and aldehyde-modified pullulanasthematrixmaterialTheresultsshowedthatthetranspaencyoftheantifungalfimasnegaivelycoelatedwiththedition amountof methyltrans-p-coumarate.Mechanical propertytestsusingauniversal materialtesting machinerevealedthathigher amounts of methyl trans -p- coumarate increased the rigidity but reduced the toughness of the antifungal film.In vitro antifungal activity testsdemonstratedthattheantifungalflmexhibitedstrongihibitoryactivityagainstBotrytiscinerea,anditseficacygraduallenhancedwith increasingmethyltrans-p-coumaratecontent.Inconclusion,theantifungalfimpossessedadvantagessuchasevironmentalfriendliness,lowcost,simpleprepaationprocess,moderatemechanicalpropertis,andstrongantifungalactityoing potential for postharvest preservation of fruits and vegetables.
