Isolation of selenium-resistant strain Bacillus cereus ZJ2 and the effects of four carbon sources on the stability of selenium nanoparticles synthesized by the strain

Abstract:Toeteutilzcrorganismsfrenvronmentaloremediation,educeseleumpolutionisoil,andrationalyeplit seleniumresources,aselenumtolerantstrain,ZJ2,wassolatedfromselenum-richsoilinYutangba,EnshiCity,HubeiProvice. MolecularbiologicalidentificationconfimeditasBacilluscereus.Tisstrainexhbitedhightoleranceandreductioncapabilitytosodium selenite Na2SeO3 ),converting itinto stable biogenic selenium nanoparticles(SeNPs).Additionally,theeffctsoffourdifferent carbonsourcesonthesodiumselenitereductioneficiencyandthestabilityofsynthesizedSeNPswereinvestigated.Theresultssowed that strain ZJ2 had a 92% reduction capacity to 5mmol/L sodium selenite.The bio-nanoselenium synthesised by this strain was sphericalparticleswithanaverageparticlesizeof(188.422.63)nmandaZetapotentialof(-41.17±1.77)mV.Itwasfoundthatheadditionof rhamnoseand glucose promotedthereductionofsodium selenitebystrain ZJ2,withan increase inthereductionrateof 37.48% (204号 and 39.53% ,respectively.Inaddition,rhamnose hadagood promoting effectonthe synthesisof stable seleniumnanoparticles bythe strain.Basedonacomprehensiveevaluationof thesodiumselenitereductioncapability,characterizationofseleniumnanoparticles (SeNPs)andtheirstabilityitwasdemonstratedthattheditionofhamossignificantlyenhancedtheabiltofBcilusceresZ to efficiently synthesize more stable biogenic SeNPs.
