Abstract:XinghuadouNo.8isanewvegetablesoybeancultivar,whichisbredbypedigree methodafterhybridization with MindouNo.6asfemaleparentandMindou1711as male parent.Thiscultivarhasaconvergent planttype,eiptical leaves,white flowers with grayhairs,and determinate poding habit.The fresh seedsare elipticalwith pale greenand no hilum color.The mature seeds havea pale green seed coat,a light yellow hilum,and yellow cotyledons.In Fujian province,the growth period is 81.2 days. The average plant height is 54.90cm ,stem diameter is 0.75cm ,and the bottom pod height is 7.56cm .The main stem has 9.3 nodes,with 3.7effective branches,28.1 effective pods,and 14.7 standard pods.The standard pod length is 5.68cm and pod width is 1.47cm .There are 328.7 standard pods per kilogram,with a standard pod rate of 68.77% . The average pod mass per plant is 66.20g ,and the fresh mass of 100 seeds is 73.18g The average yield per 667m2 is 684.17kg .The fresh seeds contain 65.2g⋅100g-1 of water, 14.6g⋅100g-1 of protein, 4.9g⋅100g-1 of fat, 7.2g⋅100g-1 of starch,and 2.91g⋅100g-1 of soluble sugar. Itis moderate susceptibility to anthracnoseand it isamediumto late-maturing cultivaroffresh soybean,which is suitable forspring planting inFujian province and similar ecological regions.
