Comprehensive evaluation of facility long cowpea varieties in coastal areas of Guangxi based on grey relational analysis

Abstract:To provideareference for the introductionand breeding of highqualityvarietiesoffacilitylong cowpea n the coastal areasofGuangxi,thegreyrelational analysismethodwasusedtocomprehensively analyze17indicators includingthemainagronomictraits,qualitytraits,andstorage toleranceof31longcowpea varieties.Theresultsshowedthatthe coefficient of variation of agronomic traitsamong thevarietiesranged from 6.59% to 34.05% ,with the lowest for single pod number being 6.59% ,and the highest for double pod ration reaching 34.05% .Forquality traits,the variation coefficients ranged from 14.25% to 30.94% ,with soluble sugar content showing the lowest variation,and vitamin C content the highest.Chuanqi108,Yuquan No.3,andJiangshanmeihadthesmalest changes indensity,seedtopodfresh massratio, and weightlossration,respectively.Greycorelationanalysisrevealedthat19varieties,includingLixinNo.12and Tianyuanlifei,ranked higherthan thecontrolVarietyin termsofboth equal weightcorrelationandweightedcorrelation. Combinedcommodityanalysis,sixvarietiesincludingTianyuanluifei,Degang,NongfengNo.3,Youlemei,JingkeNo.12, and Nongfeng No.12 had shown excelent comprehensive performance.Insummary,six varieties including Tianyuanluifei canbe promotedandappliedas excellent facilitylong cowpea varieties inthe coastal areas ofGuangxi.
