Exploration on east-west ridge cultivation mode of tomato in solar greenhouse in Guanzhong area

Abstract:Inorder toexplore the suitable mechanizedcultivation modeoftomato insolar greenhouse in Guanzhongarea ofShaanxi province,the95-type solargreenhouse widelyused inthisareawas takenas theresearch scene,andtheeffects of diffrent plantridge spacing configurationoncanopylight transmitance,tomatogrowth,yieldand quality were analyzed.Theresults showed thatcompared with the traditionalnorth-south rowridge,although theeast-westridge cultivationaggravatedthelightdiferencebetweentheplantsonthesameridge,itwasbeneficialforthesouthrowplants toobtainbetterlight,promotethesingle fruit mas,fruit numberandyield perplantofthe south rowplants,andthen forma higher total yield.The best cultivationmode of east-west ridgewas: 1.7m center ridge spacing and 32cm plant spacing. Under thiscondition,thesingle fruit massand commodityrateof tomato were the largest,andthecommodity fruit yield was 19.2% higher than thatof the traditional north-south ridge.Inaddition,the studyalso found that diferent plant ridge spacing hadnosignificantefectonfruitquality,buthadsignificanteectonlightdistribution.Increasing theplantspacing helped to increasethelight transmitanceof theupperand midle north plants inthecanopy,whileincreasing the ridgespacing efectively improvedthe light conditions atthe bottomofthe canopy.The research results provide areference for the suitable mechanized cultivation mode of tomato in solar greenhouse in this area.
