Exploration of the Pathway Integrating the Concept of“Unity of Knowledge and Action” into the Teaching of “Anti-tumor Pharmacology of Traditional Chinese Medicine" for Postgraduates

Abstract: In the context of“New Medicine”development,there is an urgent need for medical education to achieve a more profound multidisciplinary integration to develop compound medical talents who possess both theoretical attainment and practical skils. Taking the postgraduate course of“Anti-tumor Pharmacology of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)”as an example,this paper aims at its problems including disjunction between theoretical understanding and practical application,as well asthe inadequatecultivation of innovative capacities,proposing the teaching reform pathway oriented by the concept of“unity of knowledge and action".By establishing a three-dimensional comprehensive curriculum system encompassing“theoretical exploration,experimental design,and clinical translation”,and through incorporating dual instructional models of Problem-Based Leaming (PBL) and Case-Based Learning (CBL), the organic integration of “knowledge,practice,and innovation” is promoted.Meanwhile,a collaborative mechanism among universities,enterprises,and medical institutions is established to ensure that the teaching content remains closely aligned with the latest research advancements and industrial needs.With the implementation of the teaching reform,students’comprehensive ability is promoted significantly. This course forms a four-in-one teaching loop of“problem exploration,project design,practice verification,and clinical tranformation”,efectively promoting the intermalization of knowledge transfer and innovative ability,so as to provide innovative reform paradigm for the construction of TCM disciplines,as wellas theoretical and practical reference for the cultivation of compound talents who meet the requirement of New Medicine.
