Research on Blended Teachingof“Health Education”Based on Bloom's TaxonomyofEducational Objectives

Abstract: Objective To explore the application effctiveness of the blended online and ofline teaching mode based on Bloom’ s taxonomy of educational objectives in the course of“Health Education”.Methods A comparative study was conducted with students from two classes majoring in Clinical Medicine in grade 2022 taking“Health Education”course in the second semester of the academic year from 2O23 to 2O24.The experimental received the blended online and ofline teaching mode based on Bloom’s taxonomy of educational objectives,while the control group followed the traditional teaching method. Students’grades were collected and aquestionary survey was conducted before and after the course to evaluate the teaching effectiveness regarding knowledge mastery and competency development,along with students’ satisfaction. Results The final exam scores of students in the experimental group (74.86±7.63) were significantly higher than those in the control group (68.02±7.59 ,andthe difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05 ) Compared with the control group, students in the experimental group showed greater improvement in their ability in knowledge application,independent learming,communication and innovative thinking after course completion ( P<0.05 ).Additionally,the experimental group reported higher satisfaction with the course ( P< 0.05)and demonstrated a significantly greater increase in learning interest compared with the control group ( P<0.05 ).Conclusion The blended online and ofline teaching mode based on Bloom’s taxonomy of educational objectives helped to improve the teaching effectiveness and students’satisfaction of“Health Education".
