Exploration of “TCM English”Blended Teching Promoting Students ' International Communication Competenceof TCM

Abstract:The teaching reform of“TCM English”,centered on cultivating intemational communication competence,adopts a blended online and ofline teaching mode. Online teaching focuses on knowledge dissemination,while offline instruction emphasizes skilldevelopment,transforming the traditional knowledgebased curriculum into a comprehensive educational mode that integrates both knowledge acquisition and skil enhancement.This reform aims to combine language skills with the cultivation of TCM international communication literacy. Various teaching methods and strategies,including case-based teaching,heuristic teaching,project-based learning,situational teaching,and AI-generated content (AIGC) empowerment,have been implemented to enhance course engagement and students’sense of achievement.As a result, students’overall competencies and TCM international communication competence have been significantly improved. The goal isto establish an innovative curriculum system that not only inspires students' enthusiasm for learning and enhances their language application skills but also meets their personalized development needs and aligns with national strategic demands.
