Abstract：Provincial laboratoriesareanimportantcomponent of theregional innovation systemanda significant vehicle for implementing the innovation-drivendevelopment strategy.This paper takes Province G asanexampletooptimizetheperformanceevaluation indexsystemof provinciallaboratories.Through theexpertconsultationmethod，representativeand operableindicatorsare selected，andtheweightsof theindicatorsare determined by principal component factoranalysis.The index systemaimsto objectively reflect theactual situationof thelaboratory，meet the management needs，and providea scientific basis for the evaluationresults.Suggestionsrelatedtoconducting performanceevaluationarealsoput forwardattheend ofthearticle.
