Abstract: In order to solve the problem of accurate positioning of underground power cable faults in cities, this paper proposes a cable fault positioning method based on the Beidou system and acoustic signals.This method relies onthe Beidou system to obtain location informationanduses the Complementary Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition (CEEMD) method to separate multipath propagation signals,efectively eliminating signal aliasing. On this basis,the intrinsic mode function of the acoustic signal is used for angle estimation,RSSI estimation, and time delay estimation,further improving the measurement accuracy. At the same time,combining regression analysis methods and multi measurement point joint estimation methods,the location estimation of the fault point is transformed into anonlinear least squares problem and solved using the Levenberg Marquardt algorithm.The experimental results show that this method can efectively separate cable propagation sound signals from soil propagation sound signals,and has higher fault localization accuracy compared to other mainstream methods.
