Effects of organic fertilizer application rate on alleviating continuous cropping obstacles of autumn-delayed peppers

AbstractTo analyze the effectof organic fertilizer application rate onalleviating continuous cropping obstacles of autumn-delayed peppers,this experiment used the conventionalfertilizer application method of local farmers as the control (CK1,base application of 300kg of organic fertilizer per 667m2 ,compound fertilizer 15 kg/667 m²,soil conditioner 100 kg/667 m²;CK2, base application of 300kg of organic fertilizer per 667m2 ,compound fertilizer 25 kg/667 m2).The plant height and yieldof the pepper were measuredunder diferent organic fertilizer application amounts (treatments1 to3 were base application of microbial organic fertilizer 300,500,and1OOO kg/667 m² respectively).The soil physicalandchemical properties beforeand after the experiment werealso measured.The results showed that the peppers treated with3had the strongest growth,withaplant heightof63.7cmanda yield of 1 882.76 kg/667 m².Compared with CK1 and CK2, the yields increased by 12.9% and 10.9% respectively.After uprooting the plants,the pH ,organic matter, total nitrogen,available phosphorus,available potassum,available sulfur, availableboron,andavailableironcontents inthesoilofeach treatmentsignificantly increasedcompared tothosebefore the experiment.Among them,theorganic mater,available boron,andavailable ironcontents in thesoil oftreatment3 werehigher.In summary,the rational application of organic fertilizerscan allviate the recalcitranceproblem and improve the growth and yield of peppers.The effect of base application of 1 000kg/667m2 microbial organic fertilizer was the best, providing a reference for the sustainable cultivation of autumn-delayed peppers.
