Effects of humic acid water-soluble fertilizer with integrated water-fertilizer technology on maize growth and chemical fertilizer reduction

AbstractTo investigate theeffcts of integrated waterand fertilizer managementwith organic water-soluble fertilizers onmaizegrowth,fertilizerreductionand eficiency improvement,a fieldexperimentwasconductedusing maize variety Dafeng 899as the test material.2 treatmentswere established:conventionalfertilization (CK:urea, diammonium phosphate,potassium chloride)and humicacid water-soluble fertilizer application (maize growth fertilizer,maizeear-promoting fertilizer,fast-actingcontrolld-releasenitrogen fertilizer,andKetainitrogen).The growthperiod,agronomic traits,grainyield,economicbenefitandchemical fertilizerreductionunderdierent treatments were determined.The results showed thatthe growth period of maize under both treatments was 135 days. Compared with conventionalfertilization,the water-soluble fertilizer treatment increasedearlengthandeardiameter by 0.1 and0.15cm,respectively,and decreased plant height,ear heightand ear tip length by5.5,11.2and1.0 cm, respectively.Meanwhile,it increased earnumber,kernels perearand10O-kernel weightby90 earsper 666.7m²,4.3 kernelsand1.6g,respectively.The measured yield andaverage outputvalue under the water-soluble fertilizer treatment were 1 048.1 kg/666.7 m² and 2 829.9 yuan /666.7 m²,which were 8.2% higher and 214.7 yuan/666.7 m² higher than thoseof conventionalfertilizers.The average fertilizerapplicationrate was 40 kg/66.7m,representing a reduction of 55.6% in total fertilizer rate and 63.0% in pure nutrient amount compared with conventional fertilization. In conclusion,the appicationof humicacid water-soluble fertilizercanincrease maizeyield,reduce fertilizer input,and achieve higher yield,fertilizer saving and economic eficiency,thus showing promising application prospects.
